Ways to work together
I bring decades of clinical psychology together with a longtime practice in rhythm — the Native American style flute and training as a HealthRHYTHMS® Drum Facilitator (Remo's evidence-based wellness drumming program). Whether for a community, an organization, or fellow professionals, here are the ways we might work together.
Workshops
Experiential sessions on rhythm, regulation, and resilience — drumming and flute, the science of the nervous system, and hands-on practices people can take home. Designed for community groups, wellness programs, and care teams.
Speaking & presentations
Talks for clinical and community audiences on the meeting place of psychology and the arts — from the neuroscience of rhythm to the lived experience of finding regulation through music.
Consultation & training
Professional consultation and training for clinicians and organizations — including evidence-based approaches to suicide risk assessment and prevention drawn from my clinical work.
Custom programs
Have something specific in mind — a retreat, a staff wellness series, a one-time event? Tell me what you're hoping to create and we'll shape it together.
Rhythm in many rooms
I've brought drum circles to a wide range of communities and settings, including:
- Students at the Texas Tech University Counseling Center
- The University of Arkansas Multicultural Center
- Clients who are incarcerated
- Patients in a residential program for traumatic brain injury
- The men's basketball team at Langston University, an HBCU in Langston, Oklahoma
Many sessions feature the Native American style flute — Jeff plays handcrafted flutes from the Butch Hall Flutes Circle ↗.
Let's start a conversation
Every engagement begins with a conversation about what you're hoping to create. Reach out and tell me a little about your group and your goals — there's no obligation.
